Latitude vs. Wind Speed Map

Wind speed appears to increase slightly when a city's latitude increases past about 40 degrees north. Additionally cities right at the equator appear to be significantly more likely to have lower wind speeds. Interestingly, there is one city at -20 degrees with the highest recorded wind speed. This is likely an outlier, and we would need more information on this city and its wind speed on other dates to verify the current data.
